ECO-IN RESULTS

Inclusion is our motivation, our goal, and we have developed a scientific method to implement it.

Inclusion is not just a classroom activity, but a culture that must impact the entire system.
Your school can be an engine of change that infects everyone in the territory.

The Algorithm for New Ecological Approaches to Inclusion (ECO-IN) project was launched in 2019, within the framework of the Erasmus+ program with the aim of developing a new evaluation system and training activities, capable of generating inclusive schools from a “ecological” approach. To achieve this, the project consortium, made up of the University of Perugia, FORMA.Azione, the Lithuanian Education Union, the University of Urbino, MIRADA LOCAL, the Alba County School Inspectorate (Romania) and the SOLIDAR Foundation, deepened research on school inclusion in primary and secondary education in Belgium, Italy, Lithuania, Romania and Spain.

Based on the needs identified in these EU member states, and after further research at the EU level, the project offers an innovative and digitized evaluation protocol to assess and monitor successful inclusion practices, policy recommendations to boost inclusion and training to prepare all those interested in education. (teachers, school principals, policy makers, educators, external experts, parents, families) to actively participate in the school system following an ‘ecological approach’.

All the materials we have worked on are the result of a rigorous research process and are open-access materials. They are available to any school in the world.
